RULE BY “IT IS WRITTEN”

4 But Jesus answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone….7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God…10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written… 11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him (Matt. 4:3-11)
Beloved, temptations of life come in different shades, ready to get you off balance. Mind you, life challenges are never a function of ‘If’, but of ‘When’. If the Lord Jesus, the Captain Himself, was tempted by the master tempter, who are we not to be tempted or face life challenges? Devil will not even gree for unah! He must carry out his duty in order to recruit as many into his kingdom. Why? He has very limited time! So, if temptations and life challenges are a question of ‘When’ and not ‘If’, how prepared are you to outsmart the master tempter this year? How prepared are you not to fall ‘yakata’ for devil’s pranks? How prepared are you not to be cowed by the devil for you to move into your glorious destiny? You must be ready to live by “It is written”! At the three different times that the devil tempted the Master, “It is written” was used as the joker!
When you face life issues/challenges with “It is written”, you rule on earth, you reign in dominion.
When you address pressures of life with “It is written”, you’ll be at peace, reign with prince and dine in the palace.
When you legislate your existence on earth by “It is written”, you enjoy angelic ministration.
When you make “It is written” the best practice you live by, you reign on earth as King-priest.
The kind produces after its kind. If we are Christ’s, then we must live, rule and reign like Christ.
If our Captain was able to overcome the master tempter solely by “It is written”, then we’ve got no excuse. We must search the scriptures and find out what is written concerning those life issues and address them accordingly. We must refuse to yield the ground to the devil; we must refuse to grope in darkness in 2024. We must brace up and guard our loins with ‘that which the mouth of the Lord has spoken in His word concerning us, which is, “It is written”. The word of God contains beautiful promises concerning our lives, we must rise up and search them out.
Beloved, money may fail; friends may disappoint; relationships may go sour; hopes may be dashed; even health may become frail… One thing remains constant, ever true, ever sure – the WORD of God! It never fails. Therefore, don’t dull yourself in 2024, search the scriptures, find out what’s written concerning your life, operate by it, possess your possessions, rule and reign as King-priest!
