Exodus 14:15:
God said to Moses: “Why cry out to me? Speak to the Israelites. Order them to get moving (MSG).
The Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the Israelites to break camp (CSB).
and the Lord said to Moses, Why criest thou to me? speak to the children of Israel, and let them proceed (LXX).
And Yahweh said to Moses, “Why do you cry out to me? Speak to the {Israelites} [so that] they set out (LEB).
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Command the Israelites to start moving (NCV).
And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward (NKJV).
Welcome to the month of March; the month like no other; the month of our Conference! It’s quite amazing to see that we’re in the third month of the year already. Hmm, how time flies! Yes, we’re surrounded with so many challenges and it seems the whole world is about to collapse – the pump price, the hike in commodities, the noise of war at the international scene and so many clouds of instability. All of these are enough weight to pull one down, right! But, the Lord of Hosts is commanding you this morning that regardless of what you face, regardless of what’s behind you; move forward, march on! You’re His soldier; you can’t afford to fall by the way side or turn back into slavery! Just as He commanded His beloved Israelites at the Red Sea (in the face of life-threatening problem), He’s giving you an order this morning by His Spirit: Move Forward; March On!
Carrie Breck wrote that great song “Forward!”:
Christ, our mighty Captain, leads against the foe, We will never falter when He bids us go;
Tho’ His righteous purpose we may never know, Yet we’ll follow all the way.
And the chorus says…
Forward! Forward! ’tis the Lord’s command; Forward! Forward! to the promised land;
Forward! Forward! let the chorus ring: We are sure to win with Christ, our King!
March on thou Soldier of faith, maintain your gaze on the Master.
Storms of life will surely blow, yet victory is guaranteed.
The Master is readily available; never be taken aback to invite Him onboard.
Once He steps into a matter, Marah becomes sweet!
March on thou Soldier of faith, the Lord comes handy for you!
Since He’s the one bidding you to go, you sure know the ship is safe.
He’ll gently paddle; He’ll safely land!
Regardless of what happens around, the Master, by His Spirit, has commanded:
Get Moving; Break Camp; Break Through; Proceed; Set out; Go Forward!
Lay aside all burdens; stay focused on the Commander!
Take order; heed instruction.
Ride on the Wings of His Word,
Watch mountains and hills leap like rams before you.
Move Forward; March On; Make Impact; Your Canaan Land is nigh!
