That’s right, you’re loved! God the Father loves you. Human love may be overhyped, God’s love is never. God says in His word, “I have loved you with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3).
Apostle John wrote
See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are: But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him. Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure (I John 3: 1-3, NLT)
Isn’t this encouraging? John speaks with amazement about the awesome love of God that makes us His children. Can you imagine? Children, and not bastards! God calls you His child if you have given your life to the Lord Jesus Christ. What an awesome heritage to be called the child of the Most High God?
Your Father in heaven loves you and has called you to see how very much He loves you. This comes through the knowledge of Him. But, do you really know Him? Have you taken time to get to know Him from the pages of His Word? Knowing God gives you access into seeing and understanding His love for you. Knowing Him opens your mind up to your rights and privileges in Him.
Oh, the wonder of knowing and understanding the depth of the Father’s love! He sent His only begotten Son to come to this world to die for our sins, so that you and I can gain back our birthright and become His children. Indeed, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends” (John 15:13). Isn’t this amazing? Jesus calls you, His friend!
Rejoice! Dance! Be Happy! The Father calls you His son, His daughter, “I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty” 2 Corinthians 6:18.
If indeed you are His son/daughter, you ought to be like Him;
You ought to love as He loves;
You ought to speak as He speaks;
You ought to act as He acts;
You ought to give as He gives; and
You ought to be pure as He is pure!
Though the world may not know Him, you must know Him for you are His loved child. And the depth of the knowledge of His love for you increases when you search through the pages of His Word.
May you experience the True Love of the Father as you soar on “the Wings of His Word!”
